Intelligence

Intelligence represents your character's ability to think creatively, understand complex thoughts, ideas, and tasks. It represents their ability to innovate, as well as their ability to conceptualize and put into effect complicated plans. Intelligence can manifest in many different ways: scholars, merchants, craftsfolk, tacticians and mages all benefit from intelligence.

Intelligence is important for spell-casting. It determines the power of spell effects and contributes to the available mana a spell-caster has available.

Intelligence is an important statistic in combat. A fighter with high intelligence knows how to mask their intentions and fight with their wiles. Techniques designed to trick or confuse defenses rely on intelligent, and are often opposed by the defender's wisdom.

Intelligence is an important statistic for crafters and merchants, and highly intelligent characters have an easier time constructing delicate, complicated products that fetch high prices or have great utility. Intelligent characters can appraise an item's worth from looking at it.
