Human
Humans in Rhizome are more or less analogous to modern day humans in terms of physical traits. Their hair and skin color ranges from white to black, and their eyes range from black to pale blue. They stand an average of 5'10" for males and 5'4" for women, though this can vary greatly between populations and is highly variable even within them. Despite being relatively average in regards to biology, humans are never-the-less the most populous race on the planet. Their success is due to the fact that, compared to most other races, humans most readily adopt group ideologies and form large collectives more easily. The first religions and governments to form on Burros were those driven by humans.
There are a number of human nations on the southern continent of Burros, of which the largest is the nation of Eldys. Eldys as a political entity was founded by a semi-mythical king named Delar. His rule was predicated on the understanding that Delar was a physical embodiment of the one true god, and his military success and political acumen that saw the rapid expansion of Eldys was seen as a divine mandate. Therefore, in the current era of history, the majority of humans both inside and outside of Eldys are members of the Delarian Church, and the species has a strong association with the religion, though there are non-believers, both as individuals and as entire cultures.
The roles humans play in society are as varied as humans themselves -- they take to being hunters, preachers, soldiers, criminals, craftsmen, explorers, and bureaucrats all equally readily. While they do not excel in any particular statistic or attribute, neither do they fall short in any similar regard.
