Agility

Agile characters are both fleet of foot and deft of hand. They are able to move quickly from place to place, and their movement speed is affected accordingly. Some environment effects such as booby-traps, thorns, or pitfalls are easier for agile characters to avoid.

Agility is an important component of combat. Agile characters rapidly adapt and learn lighter, finesse-based weaponry such as rapiers, daggers, half-spears, as well as slings and shortbows. They have the ability to attack rapidly and overwhelm an opponent with flurries of complicated blows. Agile characters are better able to contort their bodies during a fight, and agile characters are in less jeopardy of catching a blow to the head or neck than slower fighters.

Agility is important for sleight-of-hand and determines how effective one can be at hiding, either amongst the foliage as well as amidst a crowd. Agility also determines how much damage a character takes from falls -- representing their ability to 'tuck and roll'.
