Notices

Notices are a way for Rhizome to serve system alerts to your character to make you aware of things that need your attention, even if they occurred while you were offline.

If you are online, the notice will be served to you immediately, marked [Notice] so you know it is not something your character is actually seeing. If it occurs while you are offline, you will see it right after the room description of the room you log into. Notices waiting for you never go away, however long you're away.

The command NOTICES will reread your last 20 notices, oldest first. Each shows how long ago it arrived, and reading a notice will clear it from your alert message so only unread notices will alert you when logging in.

Notices include things like alerting you to a failure to pay taxes occurring due to lack of funds, an inheritance of property landing, a recruiter hireling for an organization you are recruiter for being pinged by a player interested in joining, and if consent has been rescinded by another player.
