Shipwright

Shipwright is a crafting skill governing the production of ships -- from the smallest rowboat to the most massive ocean crossing galleon. crafts shipwright will display all recipes governed by this skill and the ingredients required to make them. Unlike construction, ships come in preset 'templates', so all rowboats, sloops, brigantines, and so forth will have the same layout of rooms, though the quality of ships is very important, see the vehicle helpfile for more. Almost all ingredients for ships come from wood, so lumberjacking is a natural paired skill for a shipwright.

Tools used by shipwrights include lathes and whittling knives. Small boats can be hauled onto land, but anything bigger than a rowboat typically is launched into the water from an adjacent room and stays in the water until it sinks.
