Name

You choose your character's name during generation. As an RPI-mud, the name of your character is paradoxically fundamental to their identity and entirely irrelevant in many situations. While your character's name is important for roleplay and for mechanics such as registering organizations and announcing discoveries, as in real life, others will often learn what your character looks like long before you give them your name. Any part of your character's short description as well as their name are valid keywords to reference your character.

As a vehicle of roleplay within Rhizome, your character's name should be believably in-charactter. Both classical 'fantasy' and anachronistic names are fine, but you will be asked to change any overtly out of character names.

Examples of appropriate names include: Samuel, Gaston, Evangeline, Ailith, Jondur, Isolde.

Examples of inappropriate names would be: peNGu1N, XxBobby2SmallxX, BurgerKing2for5.

Essentially, it's a person's name, not a gamertag.

Note that while you may have many characters during your time in Rhizome, you will only have one account. Unlike your characters' names, your account name does not have to be in-character, and in fact should not be attributed to the characters you play in character at all. Your account name is OOC, your character name is IC.
